DJS PNG 02Professor Daniel J. Solove is a law professor at George Washington University Law School. He is an expert on privacy and data security law, has taught for 15 years, has published 10 books and more than 50 articles.  

Along with Professor Paul Schwartz, Professor Solove is the author of Information Privacy Law, the leading textbook on information privacy law.  Also with Schwartz, Solove is the author of Privacy Law Fundamentals, a short treatise that David Hoffman (Global Privacy Officer at Intel) calls “the essential primer for all privacy practitioners.”

Professor Solove was selected by LinkedIn to be one of its “Influencers.” His LinkedIn blog has more than 980,000 followers.

Through TeachPrivacy, Professor Solove privacy awareness training, information security awareness training, phishing training, HIPAA training, FERPA training, PCI training, as well as training on many other privacy and security topics.

Professor Solove also organizes 5 conferences per year.  With Schwartz, Solove organizes the Privacy + Security Forum, a large annual event that seeks to break down the silos between privacy and security.
